The new arena plan, which features a 360-degree skyline view and is designed just for NBA basketball, was revealed at OKC Mayor David Holt's State of the City address Wednesday, July 16. It was designed by architect David Manica, and is expected to open for the Thunder's 2028-29 season.

Fresh off an NBA championship, the Thunder should remain a title contender throughout Paycom Center's final years and when the new home opens. When the new OKC arena opens, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren will still be under contract.
