Bournemouth striker Evanilson is set for a spell on the sidelines after having surgery on his broken foot. The Brazil forward was substituted in the closing stages of Saturday's 1-0 win against Everton. Further assessment confirmed he had fractured a metatarsal and that it required an operation.

Bournemouth striker Evanilson is set for an extended period on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on a fractured metatarsal. The Brazilian record summer signing suffered the injury during Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Everton and had to be substituted in the 82nd minute.

The Cherries defeated Everton 1-0 on Saturday, however Evanilson was substituted after suffering from discomfort with eight minutes left to play. He will now be supported through the rehabilitation process by club staff.
