Former New York Yankees closed Aroldis Chapman had some harsh words for the team on a recent podcast appearance.
Chapman’s time with the Yankees was largely a success until his final season with the team in 2022. Chapman was erratic on the mound, missed a month of the season due to an infection stemming from a leg tattoo and lost his closer’s role.
Aroldis Chapman’s blunt dismissal of a Yankees reunion set off a fury among the Bronx faithful. It came after the veteran closer declared that he’d rather retire than pitch in pinstripes again.
