A dispute between people living at a home in east Charlotte late Thursday night led to a shooting that injured four people, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said in an update Friday morning.

Four people were hurt in a mass shooting in an east Charlotte neighborhood on Thursday night. The shooting happened shortly before 11 p.m. on Purple Thistle Lane, which is just off Harrisburg Road, not far from the Robinson Church Road intersection.

One person is seriously hurt following a shooting in northwest Charlotte, medic says. It happened in the 2600 block of Lasalle Street. Medic says the person has life-threatening injuries. No word yet from police on any arrests or what led up to the shooting.

Emergency crews responded to the 8700 block of Purple Thistle Lane around 10:50 p.m. Three of the victims have life-threatening injuries and one has serious injuries. They were transported to either Atrium Health CMC or Novant Health Presbyterian.
