Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert's final game of the 2024 season left a bad taste in many mouths. After throwing three interceptions in the regular season, Herbert was picked off four times in a 32-12 loss to the Texans in the Wild Card round.

The Chargers star safety was tied for the most quarterback pressures among defensive backs in the NFL with 21 during the regular season, according to Next Gen Stats. He was six pressures clear of second place. It was the most pressures James has had since his rookie season, when he had 24 and also put together an All-Pro season.

Justin Herbert has faced all kinds of criticism, but he has the full support of Derwin James, who recently took the opportunity to defend him on Micah Parsons' podcast with a strong message for the doubters.
