At least one person has been killed after Russia launched its largest drone attack on Ukraine since the beginning of its invasion, Ukrainian officials said Wednesday, just hours after US President Donald Trump pledged more military support for Kyiv and accused his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin of throwing “bullsh*t” over peace talks.

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Russia fired more than 700 attack and decoy drones at Ukraine overnight, topping previous nightly barrages for the third time in two weeks, part of Moscow’s intensifying aerial and ground assault in the three-year war, Ukrainian officials said Wednesday.

The number of Russian drones and missiles in the barrage set a single-night record and underscored Ukraine’s need for weapons.

Ukrainian officials say that Russia pounded the capital with yet another mass missile and drone attack, causing fires across the city and injuring at least 10 people a day after the heaviest aerial attack of the war so far.
