GE Aerospace announced they are investing close to $1 billion in U.S. manufacturing. Some of that investment will support their Norton Shores factory.

With this investment, the factory will upgrade machines and equipment to ramp up production on parts for an engine used in narrowbody aircraft.

The investments in the Muskegon area are part of a much larger $1 billion that GE Aerospace plans to spend on its U.S. factories and supply chain “to strengthen manufacturing and increase the use of innovative new parts and materials needed for the future of flight,” the company said in an announcement.
