The Dallas Mavericks lost a tight one on the road on Tuesday night, falling 118-116 to the Philadelphia 76ers. Joel Embiid returned after missing a month and gave the Mavericks a 29-point triple-double and didn't even have the best performance on his own team, as Tyrese Maxey gave Philly 33 points and 13 assists.

Max Christie shuffled his feet a couple of steps to the right and positioned himself to catch a pass from Kyrie Irving, his new Dallas Mavericks teammate. The third-year guard took the ball and launched the first of four successful 3-point attempts in a Mavericks jersey,

The Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers will go head-to-head on Tuesday night. Dallas, of course, recently acquired Anthony Davis and Max Christie in a trade that included Luka Doncic heading to the Los Angeles Lakers.
