The organization held a pre-game moment of silence and students from Rose's high-school alma mater performed the national anthem.

The Cincinnati Reds (20-24) fell to the Chicago White Sox (14-29) 4-2 on Wednesday night. It was Cincinnati's ninth loss in their last 11 games. It was another strong day on the mound for the pitching staff, allowing just four runs. However, with the offense struggling, the Reds are just 5-18 when allowing four or more runs this season.

The Reds are handing out a replica No. 14 Rose jersey to fans in attendance for their game against the White Sox.

Davis Martin pitched one-run ball into the seventh inning, and the Chicago White Sox beat the slumping Cincinnati Reds 4-2 for their season-high third consecutive win.
