The UK’s City minister Tulip Siddiq resigned from the government following an ethics review into allegations around her use and receipt of properties linked to the ousted Bangladeshi regime.

Tulip Siddiq served as the Economic Secretary to the Treasury and City Minister and was responsible for addressing corruption within the UK's financial markets. Confirming her resignation on X, Siddiq stated that continuing in her role would be "a distraction" for the government,
