Tropical Storm Sara has formed in the Caribbean Sea and is forecast to continue strengthening, according to the National Hurricane Center.

A tropical depression in the Caribbean Sea became Tropical Storm Sara on Thursday, forecasters said, and poses no immediate threat to South Mississippi even though the storm will likely reach the Gulf of Mexico.

Sara will slowly move into the western Caribbean Sea this weekend, but is something we aren't concerned about for SWLA.
