Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes winner, Sovereignty, won the Jim Dandy Stakes Saturday at Saratoga Race Course. Junior Alvarado was on board the three-year-old who is trained by Bill Mott. This is Mott’s fifth Jim Dandy Stakes win.

Sovereignty continued his reign among 3-year-olds with a victory in the Jim Dandy on a weekend that saw Breeders' Cup contenders in action hither and yon.
