Tight end Noah Fant, who had 130 catches for 1,400 yards and 5 TDs in his three seasons with the Seahawks, has been released, saving almost $9 million in cap space.

The Seahawks’ starting tight end has a year left on his contract, but it’s not a total lock that he’ll remain on the team entering the regular season.

He could have been a trade candidate for his former team as they rebuild during the offseason but instead, he has been released.
