Mexico defeated the United States by a 2-1 score to win back to back Gold Cup titles. Mexico bounced back from an early goal to be the better team in 90 minutes and get a deserved victory to win their 10th edition of the Gold Cup.

A number of questionable decisions went against the United States men's national team during Sunday's 2-1 loss to Mexico in the Gold Cup final, including what appeared to be a handball by Mexican defender Jorge Sánchez that wasn't called.
