Waterbury police say five students were arrested on Thursday after a fight at Kennedy High School, the second significant fight in two days at the school.

No fatalities were reported and a person was in custody Tuesday night. Police said they 'do not believe this was a random act of violence.'

Waterbury school officials said 11 students have been arrested after a large fight at Kennedy High School on Wednesday. The police department said they were notified of the fight, which happened around 11:55 a.

Waterbury Arts Magnet School was put into lockdown Thursday morning after a report of a possibly armed student outside the school, according to police.

Multiple people have been reportedly shot at Brass Mill Center in Waterbury on Tuesday. The police department responded to a shooting incident at the mall on Union Street at around 4:40 p.m. Authorities said multiple victims have been reported and an active investigation is underway.
