Blue Jays Win ALCS Game 7, Advance to World Series
Digest more
It doesn't get any more exciting than a winner-take-all Game 7 in baseball and we’re about to have another one on Monday. After the Blue Jays beat the Mariners 6-2 in Game 6 of the ALCS in Toronto on Sunday night,
Game 6 will be remembered for Curt Schilling's impeccable pitching despite the severely injured ankle. The 4-2 win that forced Game 7 is also famously known as the "bloody sock" game. Game 7 was a rather one-sided affair with the Red Sox crushing the Yankees 10-3.
While there were no Game 7's in Major League Baseball's 2021, 2022 or 2024 postseasons, it sure feels like we are destined for at least one banger of a Game 7 this year, given the way things have been going thus far this October.
Seattle fans get to experience the two best words in sports Monday night: Game Seven. After losing a noncompetitive Game 6, the Mariners will face the Blue Jays in Toronto in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series.
