Polish tennis player Iga Świątek lost her cool during the Indian Wells semifinal match against 17-year-old Mirra Andreeva on March 14. After complaining about the ball kids, she swatted a ball back at a ball boy in a moment that has since gone viral.

Iga Swiatek said it was not her intention to launch a ball in the direction of a ball boy at her last tournament but expressed her dismay over the "harsh judgements" she received.

World number two Iga Swiatek said she was not proud of the way she vented her frustration at Indian Wells, where she nearly hit a ball boy after smashing a ball into the ground, but added that she did not expect to receive "such harsh judgements".
