The Kansas City Chiefs just suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, 16-13. Patrick Mahomes had to exit the game late in the fourth quarter due to an injury, which required backup quarterback Gardner Minshew to step in. Minshew, however, was picked off in what turned out to be the final play of the game.

The Philadelphia Eagles are maintaining a wide lead over the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2025 Super Bowl. Kendrick Lamar headlined the halftime show, with appearances by SZA and Serena Williams.

Trailing the Chargers by three points, Mahomes was attempting to lead the Chiefs on a game-tying field goal or game-winning touchdown when the injury occured. He was helped into the locker room as the Chiefs went on to lose to the Chargers when backup Gardner Minshew threw an interception.
