'It took a village': Crews in Florida dig up road to rescue manatee trapped in storm drain

MELBOURNE BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — Multiple agencies came together on Tuesday to help rescue a juvenile male manatee that got himself stuck in a storm drain in Melbourne Beach. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said an employee with an architectural firm reported the trapped animal to the FWC Wildlife Alert Hotline.
