If you've recently updated your Facebook Messenger smartphone app ... Together with the new logo, the company also rolled out chat themes, allowing you to make your chats a bit more colorful.

WhatsApp is introducing Chat themes, allowing users to customize chat bubbles and backgrounds. Users can choose from 8 preset themes or customize their own for individual conversations.

The upgrade includes themes, custom emojis ... planning to eventually make end-to-end encryption the default chat experience on Messenger, catching up to rivals like Apple’s iMessage.

The feature is currently under development so Chat Themes preview isn't available ... the case with other Meta apps like ...

The chat customising feature that lets you change the theme or colours is also available ... you will now see a Messenger icon instead of the regular classic Instagram DM icon you saw earlier.
