Sophomore Owen Recker of the West Virginia University men’s and women’s swimming and diving team qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday. Recker placed fourth in the platform event at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships with 634.

Freshman David King qualified in three events with Jack Aikins, Sebastien Sergile and Spencer Nicholas also earning invitations

On the men’s side, Carson Paul (755.00) and Zayne Danielewicz (722.25) finished 4th and 6th, respectively, on the three-meter springboard. With their performances, Paul and Danielewicz qualified for the NCAA meet. The placement requirement was set at ninth place or better in order to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Seattle.

Select Cavaliers will compete at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships at the Rutgers Aquatics Center Monday, March 10 through Wednesday, March 12

While NCAA Championship swimming qualifiers were selected on March 5, the divers are currently competing one last time in the NCAA Zone Diving Championships to secure their spots in the final meet of the postseason.
