Sophomore Owen Recker of the West Virginia University men’s and women’s swimming and diving team qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday. Recker placed fourth in the platform event at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships with 634.

Virginia Athletics released a statement to the media Wednesday, announcing that the swimming and diving program will likely divest from diving for the 2025-26 season. This statement came in the wake of the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships Wednesday.
