With the return of springlike weather in March comes the return of Ohio's open burn ban. Here's when it's in effect, exceptions to the rule.

Mar. 17—Due to dry conditions, high temperatures, strong winds and a lack of moisture, the Estes Valley Fire Protection District will begin Stage 1 open burning restrictions effective at 8 a.m.
