Kyle Hamilton has cashed in, agreeing to an extension with the Ravens that makes him the highest-paid safety in NFL history.

Hamilton's contract includes $82 million guaranteed, far more than Antoine Winfield Jr.'s $45 million figure, the previous NFL record. It is the 10th-largest guaranteed money mark among defensive players, only bested by pass-rushing mavens.

Hamilton was the youngest defensive starter named to the Pro Bowl, quickly emerging as the NFL's premier safety in his second season. Hamilton plays with poise and maturity while allowing new Ravens DC Zach Orr to implement a dynamic and versatile scheme with multiple safeties on the field.
