HOUSTON – Texans All-Pro corner Derek Stingley Jr. paid a price for his facemask penalty Monday night. He was fined $11,593 for the infraction, knocking off the helmet of Seattle Seahawks star wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
For the Texans, CJ Stroud threw for 229 yards with one touchdown and an interception in the losing effort. Derek Stingley, the No. 3 overall pick in 2022, had an interception during the game. Stingley was involved in an incident involving Smith-Njigba on the sidelines.
Take a look at the injury report for the San Francisco 49ers (5-2), which has 16 players listed (including Christian McCaffrey), as the 49ers prepare for their matchup versus the Houston Texans (2-4) at NRG Stadium, on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. ET.
The Seattle Seahawks (5-2) triumphed 27-19 over the Houston Texans (2-4) in a game that wasn't as close as the scoreboard indicated. Seattle struggled to get out of their own way, committing four turnovers -- their most in a game since 2020.
The San Francisco 49ers have a better record than the Houston Texans, but the oddsmakers have the Texans as favorites. They may be projecting the injuries to finally catch up to the 49ers. If the 49ers want to avoid this situation, the following players need to step up.
