The good news about Thursday’s loss to Utah is that the Red Wings was that  Detroit didn’t lose any ground in the chase for a wildcard playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. That was about it. The Wings lost Carter Mazur two shifts into his NHL debut and he’s out for the time being.
