The Phoenix Suns, in a move that feels equal parts tactical and experimental, shook things up this past week by yanking both Bradley Beal and Jusuf Nurkic out of the starting lineup. On the surface, it seems like an obvious move.

LaMelo Ball had 32 points and 10 rebounds, Miles Bridges added 21 points and the Charlotte Hornets snapped a 10-game losing streak with a 115-104 win over the Phoenix Suns.

The Suns are starting Tyus Jones, Devin Booker, rookie Ryan Dunn, Kevin Durant and Mason Plumlee for a fourth straight game. The Suns are 2-1 with this lineup since Suns coach Mike Budenholzer benched Bradley Beal and Jusuf Nurkic and replaced them in the lineup with Dunn and Plumlee.

Devin Booker scored 30 points, Kevin Durant added 27 and the Phoenix Suns rallied in the final minutes to beat the Charlotte Hornets 120-113 on Sunday night.

The Suns got a defensive stop with Booker grabbing a rebound that led to Royce O’Neale, back after missing time with an ankle sprain, hitting a corner 3 off a Beal assist that led to Charlotte calling a timeout with 41.5 seconds left.

The Hornets last win versus the Suns in Phoenix was in 2021, where the Hornets won 124-121. The Hornets yearly west coast trip has never been too kind to them, but with a couple of their games getting postponed, maybe they could start the trip with a win over a below .500 team.
