Hawaii's Kilauea Volcano Is Spewing Lava
Episode seven of the ongoing Halemaumau eruption began at 6:42 p.m. and is currently feeding a small flow on the crater floor, according to the U.S. Geological Survey Hawaiian Volcano Observatory. Lava fountains are 10- to 20-feet high and this episode is likely to last 10 to 20 hours, scientists said.

The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reported that fountains on the north side of the crater are now reaching heights of 100 to 120 feet (30 to 40 metres) and feeding multiple streams of lava. Additionally, a smaller fountain is visible on the south side, accompanied by a small emerging lava flow.
