Unfiltered can lead to some uniformed and unfortunate takes that get walked back. Case in point, after Karl-Anthony Towns missed the Knicks loss to the Warriors for “personal reasons,” Green said this on his podcast, The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis:
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green made baseless claims about New York Knicks big man Karl-Anthony Towns, then issued a total non-apology.
Draymond Green sent well wishes to Karl-Anthony Towns after the death after a family friend, but says he was just repeating what he heard when he said on his podcast that Towns didn’t play for the Knicks against Golden State this week because Jimmy Butler was in the building.
Most have heard it by now, but during the show, Green and co-host Baron Davis were discussing the win by the Warriors at Madison Square Garden, where the Knicks played without Karl-Anthony Towns, who had butted heads with Butler while the two were teammates in Minnesota.
The New York Knicks could complete a season-altering trade for an accomplished Milwaukee Bucks star in free agency.
