How do you stop one of the greatest players of his generation? That’s what the Toronto Maple Leafs need to figure out against Tampa Bay Lightning winger Nikita Kucherov on Monday night.
Lightning superstar Nikita Kucherov did his part to try to secure the Bolts a win, as he scored the game-opening goal during the first period. With this, Kucherov extended his point streak to 10 games, with five goals and 16 points over that span.

Tampa Bay forward Brayden Point appeared to tie the game late with a backhand shot that hit the crossbar, but the puck bounced through the crease without crossing the goal line.
Limited cap space and draft capital could affect what the Maple Leafs and Lightning do by the NHL trade deadline, but there are areas where they clearly need a boost.
