Michael Paul Brown, the suspect accused by police of opening fire inside a Montana bar and killing four people has been taken into custody, PEOPLE can confirm. According to sources with knowledge of the situation, Brown was taken into custody behind The Ranch Bar just west of Anaconda on Highway 1.

Michael Paul Brown, 45, is accused of killing a bartender and three patrons at the Owl Bar a week earlier on Aug. 1.
