RALEIGH, N.C. (ABC4 Sports) – It was one of wildest comebacks in NHL history. The Carolina Hurricanes scored three goals in 89 seconds to stun the Utah Mammoth Thursday night, 5-4. Carolina becomes the first team in more than 30 years to overcome a two-goal deficit in the final two minutes to win in regulation.
The Carolina Hurricanes made history in multiple ways with their dramatic 5-4 win over the Utah Mammoth on Thursday night. By erasing a late 4-2 deficit, they became the first team of the salary cap era to earn a regulation win in a game in which they trailed by multiple goals with under two minutes remaining.
