Coleman Hawkins is dealing with a more significant injury than anyone inside the Kansas State men’s basketball team has mentioned before. The senior forward revealed on Friday that he fractured the tibia in his right leg nearly three weeks ago during a road game against Utah.

It turns out Kansas State forward Coleman Hawkins' injury was more severe than first thought, but he was determined to to get back on the floor.

Kansas State coach Jerome Tang provided an update - or lack thereof - on star forward Coleman Hawkins after the Colorado victory. While Tang is still unsure of the return timetable, he praised Hawkins' work toward recovery.

K-State fans have been slow to warm up to Hawkins this season. At times, they have viewed him as an overpaid rental player ever since he transferred in from Illinois on a NIL contract that is worth $2 million.
