The No. 2-seeded Ohio State Buckeyes softball team (45-14-1) saw its season end with a 5-0 loss to the Knoxville region's top seed, the Tennessee Volunteers, in an NCAA Tournament game on May 18.

With the victory, Tennessee reaches the NCAA Super Regionals for the 14th time in program history.

Pickens held them to one hit through the first five innings and only five hits in the game.
