One day, the mega-fight between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford is on; the next day, it’s off. The latest update indicates there's been a significant snag.

On Monday, Ring Magazine reported that Alvarez and Crawford had an agreement in place for a deal that would see Crawford challenge Alvarez for his unified super middleweight titles, before a subsequent Ring Magazine report two days later indicated the fight was canceled for undisclosed reasons.

Alvarez vs. Crawford was to take place in September at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium on a show organized by Riyadh Season, the entity operated by Alalshikh and Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority. Ring Magazine reported Wednesday night that the fight is now off. No further specifics were given.
