This year the league implemented a new format, with the All-Stars drafted into three teams of eight players. They will face off with the winner of Friday night’s Rising Stars Challenge in a small, single-elimination tournament on Sunday night.

For round-robin games, overtime will be held in a 10-minute, three-on-three sudden-death period, followed by a three-round shootout. In the final, full 20-minute, five-on-five periods will be played until a goal is scored.

Though it had no chance of reaching the title game, Sweden capped off the 4 Nations Face-Off with a 2-1 victory over the United States on Monday. The United States struck first as Chris Kreider found the net just 35 seconds into the game.

The United States returns to the ice in the 4 Nations Face-Off on Monday when it battles Sweden on Monday night. Earlier Monday, Canada clinched a rematch against the U.S. in the Championship Game after beating Finland 5-3.
