Police are investigating after firefighters discovered the body of an adult man inside an apartment with a “small fire," officials said.

When officers arrived at the apartment complex, smoke was coming from the first floor of the two-story building. Crews quickly extinguished a small fire and found a man dead inside the apartment.

When firefighters arrived, they saw smoke coming from a unit on the first floor and were able to quickly access and extinguish the blaze.
