Major League Baseball, Topps, Fanatics and Nike partnered to launch a new gold MLB logo patch program. The six primary award winners from the 2024 MLB season are wearing gold MLB logo patches throughout the 2025 season.

MLB has announced that six players will wear a special gold patch on their jersey during the upcoming baseball season.

Six of baseball’s top players are adding a little extra shine this season. In collaboration with Topps, Fanatics and Nike, MLB is introducing a special Gold MLB logo patch for the 2025 season to celebrate a group of '24 award winners: MVPs Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge,

Reigning National League MVP Shohei Ohtani and five other players — winners of Cy Young Award and Rookie of the Year in each league — will wear a gold patch on their uniform during the 2025 season to signify the accomplishment.

Beginning this season, the league is bestowing a gold MLB patch on the jerseys of the reigning MVP, Cy Young and Rookie of the Year winners. That means Shohei Ohtani (MVP), Aaron Judge (MVP), Chris Sale (Cy Young), Tarik Skubal (Cy Young), Luis Gil (Rookie) and Paul Skenes (Rookie) will each sport the special logo all summer.
