Special Olympics Tennessee and Vanderbilt University have announced a bid to host the 2030 Special Olympics USA Games in Nashville.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Special Olympics Tennessee has announced its bid to host the 2030 Special Olympics USA Games in Music City! If the bid is awarded, Nashville would welcome more than 4,000 athletes from across the country to compete in over 17 sports. There will also be thousands of volunteers as well.

Special Olympics Tennessee and Vanderbilt University officially announced Nashville's bid to host the 2030 Special Olympics USA Games Monday at Vanderbilt's McGugin Center. As the Post previously reported, if awarded, the event would bring an estimated 4,500 Special Olympics athletes and 10,000 volunteers to Nashville.
