An Air Quality Alert has been issued through Tuesday for the Chicago area from wildfire smoke coming in from Canada.

Chicago faces poor air quality and sweltering heat today and tomorrow, followed by scattered storms heading into the weekend.

The alert comes as humidity is expected to increase Tuesday, with high temperatures in the mid 80s to low 90s, with heat indices reaching 100 by Wednesday.
