Buffalo Bills HC Sean McDermott provided an update on the status of rookie first-round CB Maxwell Hairston ahead of the Bills' matchup with the Panthers.

The Buffalo Bills are set to return to action on Sunday with added strength on the defensive side.Rookie cornerback Maxwell Hairston was activated from injured reserve, making him eligible to play in Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

"Bills HC Sean McDermott when asked if he's confident whether CB Maxwell Hairston or K Tyler Bass would play this season," Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports . "He said, 'We'll see.' McDermott did say both are heading in the right direction.

Maxwell Hairston might soon make his Buffalo Bills and NFL debut. The team's 2025 first-round draft pick designated him to return from injured reserve, opening his 21-day practice window. Hairston was injured in training camp and has yet to play in any games for the Bills:
