We told you first that Blumhouse was buying Twisted Pictures' share of the Saw rights. That deal, led by CAA Evolution, has now closed.

Horror studio Blumhouse has acquired the rights to the "Saw" franchise that are currently held by producers Oren Koules and Mark Burg. Lionsgate continues to own 50% of the franchise.

Today, that deal is now finalized with Jason Blum's banner reaching an agreement to purchase an ownership stake after negotiating with Oren Koules and Mark Burg's production company since last year.
