Brookville runner Kaelen Tucker now plans on racing in her school’s next meet, according to TMZ. She had been diagnosed with a concussion and possible skull fracture due to the impact of the baton.

The injury occurred during the 4x200 relay race ... as Tucker, a junior track star, and senior Alaila Everett rounded the corner ... when Everett swung the baton, hitting Kaelen's head.

The incident occurred last Tuesday during a championship meet, as footage showed Everett smashing her baton onto the head of Brookville High School junior Kaelen Tucker during a relay race.

Everett has maintained that she hit her opponent, Kaelen Tucker, on accident while they participated in a relay event at an indoor track championship in Virginia on March 6.
