A judge has reduced the Menendez brothers' murder sentences, making them eligible for parole after more than 30 years behind bars.

A Los Angeles judge resentenced Lyle and Erik Menendez, who have spent over three decades behind bars for the 1989 killing of their parents. They are now eligible for parole — but it's not guaranteed.

At Tuesday's long-awaited resentencing hearing, which included testimony from family members supporting their bid for freedom, Lyle and Erik Menendez made a virtual appearance from the San Diego prison where they are being held.
