The Green Bay Packers are expected to host Georgia edge rusher Mykel Williams on an official pre-draft visit ahead of the 2025 NFL draft

NFL Draft approaches, teams and fans are debating one of the biggest questions. And it surrounds this year’s top defensive prospects: Will Mykel Williams’ slow 40-yard dash time hurt his draft stock?

According to the Draft Network’s Ryan Fowler, Georgia edge rusher and projected first-round pick Mykel Williams will be taking an official visit to Green Bay this weekend after the team hosted fellow first-round pass rusher prospects Texas A&M’s Shemar Stewart and Tennessee’s James Pearce Jr. for visits in recent weeks.

The Columbus, Georgia, native elected to not participate at the combine in Indianapolis last month, citing his recovery from the injured ankle. That decision made Williams' pro day on March 12 the only time NFL personnel would get to see him perform in drills before the draft in late April.

Another reporter has linked the Panthers to a particular Georgia Bulldog. This time, it's team beat writer Joe Person.
