Every season, the Premier League champions are given 40 winners medals. Of those 40 medals, Premier League rules stipulate one is allocated to every player who has made five or more appearances in the competition during the season. That usually leaves around 15-20 medals left over. The winning club can choose to distribute those as they see fit.
