The Chicago White Sox have placed first baseman Ryan Noda on the 10-day injured list with a strained right quadriceps.

The Red Sox acquired Ryan Noda, assigned to Triple-A, from the Angels for cash, per the team. Boston transferred Masataka Yoshida to the 60-day IL to make room on the 40-man roster for Noda.

Red Sox fans should temper their expectations, but the grim outlook at first has forced these types of moves. Hopefully, Noda can channel some of that 2023 success and ease the loss of Triston Casas.
