In a separate release on Friday, the country’s Finance Department confirmed the jump in customs imports duties occurred in March, rising $600 million from February. Unlike Statistics Canada’s data, that figure is neither seasonally adjusted nor does it included amounts paid out by the government in terms of remission or relief.
