Vanderbilt baseball finished off a sweep Kentucky with a 5-3 win Saturday at Hawkins Field. In the series finale, Kentucky scored three early runs off starter Cody Bowker, including two runs that came on solo homers.

Commodores won't have to play in Hoover, Ala. until either Thursday or Friday after clinching a top-four seed in the SEC standings.

Heading into Hawkins Field in Nashville, Kentucky had all but certainly locked itself into the NCAA Tournament — something that was firmly in doubt after a string of bad losses — but was looking to stun the Commodores in the Volunteer State to prove itself as a serious threat and improve its seeding.
