Colson Montgomery hit a screamer down the right-field line leading off the top of the seventh inning Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Rays for his first big-league home run.

José Caballero had two hits and two RBIs and the Tampa Bay Rays scored all their runs in the second inning before holding on for a 4-3 win over the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday night. The loss was Chicago's first since the All-Star break and snapped a season-high five-game winning streak.

The White Sox have scored 35 runs during the current four-game win streak. Coincidentally, that’s their most runs in any four-game stretch since the aforementioned four-game win streak in September of 2022, when they scored 38 runs. With their record at 36-65, the White Sox are 29 games below .500 for the first time since July 5.
